All About Love....... =)

According to the Hebrew definition, love is separated into 3 categories.
a) agape = God's love for us, the perfect love
b) phileo = Friendship type of love, tender affection
c) ahab or aheb = either familial, romantic or friendship. May also signify sexual lust.

Well, since Valentines just passed not too long ago.. Or at least since i miseed blogging about it, I shall blog about it now. I believe that true love isn't about physical looks or character or personality. When you truly love someone from the bottom of your heart, you learn to forgive the fact that they own a huge nose or like to smoke or is a critic. You just accept them the way they are.

That's what agape love is. God died for us while we were yet sinners. He died for the murderers, robbers, liars, adulterers, you and me. He accepted us, he didn't try to change us, he just hoped that through His love for us we would change. And through His love, touch and influence others to change too.. In fact, the Bible describes Christian love as agape love. That's a real challenge isn't it? Hah, to love all mankind no matter what their faults are? That would be really tough..

Phileo love needs time and lots of understanding. I relate it as to the kind of love me and krys have for each other. It is also the love Jesus had for a certain disciple. Phileo is tender affection. Hmm, nothing much to elaborate on this point. Shall leave it to your own imagination.

Ahab or aheb love... I shall talk about this love in the romantic and sexual context. Well, firstly this love needs maturity. Spiritual and mental maturity. When you think you like someone and want to kau them or accept them check your motives first. Do you want to be with them for personal benefits or because you want to care for them. And most importantly, don't give in to peer pressure, don't accept someone just because everyone around you has a boyfriend. Trust me it won't work out, I've been there and done that. Lastly, remain sexually pure for God.

Oh, and a tip for finding a bf/gf. =D Pls pls pls don't be desperate.. Keep your cool and pray for a partner and one will pop up right before your very eyes in no time at all. So stay cool and don't be desperate. And spread God's love around the world! =)
